Free Your Nursing Staff from Non-Clinical Tasks
Secure, intuitive robot management that automates materials and wayfinding so your team focuses on patient care

Healthcare
Many robot deployments fail on day-to-day operations: disconnected vendor apps, missing door and elevator connectivity, and unclear ownership once the pilot ends.
hospOS removes these friction points by bringing robot fleets and building infrastructure under one operational layer, so automation works reliably in real facilities.
- One operating concept across multiple robot models instead of isolated silos
- Door and elevator connectivity as part of operations, not a one-off project
- More transparency: tasks, status, and incidents visible in one place
- Less lock-in through true multi-vendor capability
- Operational model aligned with governance and security needs (on-prem option)
How hospOS Works
- 1
Trigger a task
A task is initiated via the central UI or through an API from an external system.
- 2
Assign the right robot
hospOS dispatches based on availability, location, battery level, and task type.
- 3
Coordinate building access
During execution, door access and elevator rides are coordinated, including status and error handling.
- 4
Execute & monitor
Operations are monitored centrally; alerts and guided handling support the responsible teams when issues occur.
- 5
Analyze & improve
Operational data supports reporting and continuous improvement (e.g., bottlenecks, wait times, utilization).

Learn more about hospOSResearch-Based & Field-Validated
hospOS builds on results from the SMART FOREST 5G Clinics research project at Deggendorf Institute of Technology (2021–2024; funded by the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport).
hospOS has been in real operation in two clinics since 2023: at Arberlandklinik Viechtach and at Kliniken am Goldenen Steig, Freyung (with KONE elevator integration).
Impact is made tangible through measurable operational metrics (e.g., process times, availability, incident patterns) and improved iteratively.

Deployment & Operations
hospOS can be deployed within your infrastructure (e.g., on-premise) when governance, security, or operational requirements call for it. The deployment model is aligned with your context, with a focus on stability, transparency, and a controllable lifecycle.
- On-premise option for increased data and system sovereignty
- Role-based access control (RBAC) and auditability
- Monitoring, alerting, and operational support
- Charging management and fleet control
- Controlled updates and lifecycle management
- Support and service level options
Security & Compliance
hospOS supports secure operations in sensitive environments. Security controls and privacy measures are implemented to match your requirements and policies.
